  • Sarah Jane Mather was the niece of Richard and Mary.  She is most probably the daughter of John Mather of Queen Street, Backup (father unknown), a plumber and glazier and Elizabeth Ashworth who married at Backup 21 April 1856.
    
    In 1861, Sarah Jane Mather (1) and her mother Elizabeth (31) were visiting Robinson and Mary Jackson and family.
