Ruth Mather

Ruth was born in 1820 in Breightmet.¹

- Ruth was illegitimate, father not sown of marriage. She was probably from Breightment and lived at Little Lever after 1939.
  
  Ruth may be the daughter of MaryAnn Mather of Breightment.
  
  It is Ruth who is believed to have had a son William Mather in 1839, just before she married George Hulme, although George Hulme had a daughter Eliza the same year.
