Peter was born about 1738 in Little Hulton.

- Peter was from Turton, so this Peter Mather from Deane is not our Peter from Turton (records are missing for Turton).
  
  The Petrus (Peter) Mather baptised 17 Nov 1734 ( Deane), son of John Mather from Hult (i.e. Little Hulton) was buried two years later, so thats not the Peter that married Betty Mayo either.

He died in December 1789 in Little Hulton. His burial was on December 3rd, 1789 in Deane.
