Mary Ann was the daughter of Samuel Mather, a weaver.
In Q1 1845, the birth of Joseph Gregory was registered with MMN = Mather. This cant be the same Joseph Davenport born 1846, so there must be another (Mary) Mather and (John) Gregory marriage.
12 April 1845, Joseph Devenport, weaver, son of Joseph Davenport, weaver married Mary Ann Mather, daughter of Samuel Mather a weaver at Manchester Cathederal. Both were living at Pump Street. Samuel and Margaret Hopwood were witness.
In 1851, Mary A Davenport (31, Wid) was at Pilkington with her youngest son Joseph Pilkington (5), but no others.
26 Mar 1854, James Gregory (24) a Dyer of Radcliffe married Mary Ann Davenport (35, Wid), daughter of Samuel Mather at Radcliffe St. Mary.
