6 Aug 1865, Joseph Mather (23) a collier (father not named) married Sarah Ann Owen (2), daughter of Thomas Owen a Tailor. Sarah Mather (probable half-sister) was a witness.
In 1871, Joseph and Sarah A (28 & 24) were at Tyldesley with Matthew (7), John (5), Joseph (1) and Alice M Owen (20) and her baby, probably Sarah's sister.
