In 1851, their first son James Marahsll Mather was born in Darlington. James would go on to become a Free Methodist Minister like his father.
In 1853, Mary Elizabeth was born in South Bury. They didnt stay there long as the next son John Henry was born in Wardleworth, Rochdale in 1856.
In 1861, John was away from his Leeds home.
In 1871, John and Sarah (50 & 57) were at Jesmond, Northumberland. John was a Misister Free Methodist.
In 1891, John and Sarah (70 & 77) were living with their dauhhter Mary E Whitaker and family in Haslingden.
