  2 Aug 1902 James married Mary Ann Johnson at St Thomas, Pendleton, Lancashire.  James Mather (25) was a  Packer living at 144 Fitzwarren Street, son of Richard Mather, (deceased), a Carter.
  
  After they married, James and Mary Ann lived at 185 Fitzwarren Street, Pendleton (shown on baptism records).  James worked as a Warehouseman or Packer.
  
  In 1911, James and Mary Ann (both 33) 185 Fitzwarren Street, Pendleton with Mary Ann's father William Johnson (64) and Brother William Johnson (27).  They had two children Edmund and Louisa (5 & 1).
