  • Joseph is believed to have married Lucy.  Both were deaf and dumb.  Not sure which Lucy, but Joseph was old, in his 60's when he married. John Brooks (George's son) called her Sarah.
    
    Possible Bolton marriages (if Lucy) are Lucy J Welsh (1915, Bolton RO) or Lucy Barnes (1918, Westhoughton).
