John (Jack) Ernest Latimer

John, known as Jack, was born on January 4th, 1910 in Southampton.¹

- Johns father was Andrew and mother Janet. Andrew was much older than Janet. He was a Chief Steward for the White Star Line, born in Lancaster. Janet was from Liverpool.
  
  John's mother Janet (a 47 year old Housewife) took John (aged 14) and his sister Janet Hamilton Latimer (aged 12) to Montreal, Canada in 1924. At the time they were living at 32 Thorndale Rd, Waterloo, Liverpool. They sailed on the Megantic (White Star Line), a smaller sister ship to the Titanic, lainched 3 years earlier.

  In 1939, John was single, an Insurance Inspector living with his widowed mother Janet at 4 Marine Terrace, Crosby.
  
  Later after he was married, John (known as Jack) lived in a bungalow at Blundel Sands.
