John probably had brotthers John and Robert of Quarlton.
8 Mar 1791, James Isherwood was witness to John's marriage to Betty Mather. Following their marriage they lived in Quarlton, Turton. 16 Apr, when son James was baptised, John was a weaver and pauper.
In 1798 (brother) Robert and Betty of Quarlton also had a daughter Mally.
In 1807 and 1810, John was a weaver in Edgworth (so possibly another)
There are also England Select baptism records for the children at Tottington (although the text shows otherwise).
NOTE: There is another John & Betty Isherwood family from Tottington (who had Peggy (died), James in 1796 and Betty in 1804). This may be the John Isherwood who married Betty Worth of Castleton at Rochdale in 1796

John and Betty were married in a religious ceremony on March 8th, 1791 at St. Mary (Deane) by Vicar Richard Latham and witnessed by James Ryley & James Isherwood.3 They had eight sons and two daughters, named James, Thomas, James, John, Harry, William, Richard, John, Betty and Mally. There are possibly more children.
