- William may have become a mariner, or died, which is why he has othewise abandoned his wife and child. There is a butial at Tongue which could be him!

General Notes
- William's father was Joseph Hutchinson (b. 1827 Bolton), and his mother Jane Wood (b. 1820 Ormskirk).
  
  In 1881 it appears William may have left his new wife and child, and become a mariner. He was on the Antler crew list in Liverpool in 1877 when Sarah would have been pregnant. It could have been alother William though (there are a few with similar DOB).
  
  There are baptisms for the children showing William as the father and "Sarah Jane", so they must have lived in Little Bolton for a whiole.
  
  William (58) ended up in Farnworth (workhouse) in 1911, a coal bagger, widowed.

- From 1876 William's occupation was Piecer in Bolton.
  From 1882 his occupation was Carter in Little Bolton.
