In 1841, there is also an Adam Howarth alive at Smidlegate, Westhaughton aged 70 with Mary and Alice (both 25). This may be him. Adam died 21 April 1850, aged 78
General Notes
NOTE: There is another Adam Howarth of Horwich, son of Elizabeth and Thomas Howarth (or Amrant ?) of Lostock baptised 18 Sept 1786. The death in 1829 aged 61 matches this Adam.
Adam born 1770 was alive in 1841, aged 70 and died in 1858 aged 78.
There is a third Adam of Astley, baptised at Leigh 26 Aug 1769 and he was the son of William (matching Adam's first son).
Adam and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on March 7th, 1795 at St. Mary (Deane). They had five sons and three daughters, named William, Ann, Joseph, John, Adam, Ann, Betty and Mary.
