There are no Deane or Bolton burials for any Mary Mather 1785-87, and only Martha in Bolton, and this Martha is the wife of Samuel.
General Notes
Mary Hogkinson married Samuel at Deane. She was buried as Martha Mather, wife of Samuel. However, there are no Lancashire marriages between a Samuel Mather and Martha.
John Hodgskinson (possibly Mary's father) was witness to Samuel's second marriage to Mary Haslam.
Martha and Samuel were married in a religious ceremony on August 28th, 1785 at St. Mary (Deane) by Vicar Richard Latham and witnessed by James Ryley & Abraham Cheetam.3
