15 Feb 1852 Henry Hilton (31), a (Black)Smith from Newton, son of Thomas Hilton a Paver married Harriett Booth (25) of Newton by licence at Newton-Le-Willows, St Peter.
About 1857, the family moved from Newton (where Betty and Thomas were born) to WestLeigh.
In 1861, Henry Hilton (40) a Blacksmith was at WestLeigh with Harriett (38) and three children
In 1871, Henry and Harriet (50 & 43) were at WestLeigh with four children (with MMN confirmed as BOOTH for all 4 children). Harriet died in 1871, aged 43
7 Jan 1873 Henry Hilton, Blacksmith, widower, son of Thomas Hilton married Ann Mather at St Luke, Westleigh.
Henry died at WestLeigh in 1878, aged 58 and it appears the children were orphaned as in 1880 they were with Hilton relatives in the USA..
