General Notes
In 1851, Margaret (14) was with her widowed mother Alice Hargreaves (36) and Solomon Mather at the Talbot pub, Brown Street, Little Bolton.
In 1861, step-daughter Margaret Hardman (24) and her grandmother Mary (i.e. Mally), described as mother-in-law, were living with Joseph and Alice Knight.
In 1863, Margaret (from Edgworth) appears to have married Thomas Hopkins and had two children. Census records are consistent with her from Edgworth (before and after marriage).
There is also a marriage in 1870 for a single Margaret Hargreaves, father Jabez, who married John Russell at St Peter's Manchester. Either this is a bigamous marriage or there are two Margarets with father called Jabez! There are no census records for this Margaret from Edgworth, so this must be another!
