After Aunt Polly died, John and Annie may have sold up and emigrated to Groton, New London, Connecticut, USA. If so, Annie was born about 1885 (US 1940 census records).
A later theory is that John Richard Tomlinson was killed in WWI in 1918. Pension card gives matching DOB of wife Annie and two different children; Edna and George. These four DOBs give a new theory of the family
