I cant find any record of Mary's marriage to Edward Brereton. There was a large age difference will William about 18 and Mary about 26. Perhaps they never married.
Mary was a Widower by 1871. In 1881 she was head of a large household of 16, as a Housekeeper perhaps head servant.
In 1901 Mary was with her two grandchildren, William and Lizzie Brereton.
