Margaret was the daughter of Michael and Rosanna Corcoran (both parents from Dublin, Ireland). Her parents came first to Liverpool and moved to New Ferry in 1882.
In 1939, after her mother had died, Margaret's father Michael Corcoran lived with them at 55 Cobden Street.
Margaret and John were married in a civil ceremony in December 1918 in Birkenhead.3
