Cooper, Selina Jane (1864-1946), suffragist and socialist (see National Archives, Lancashire). Cooper was a widow when she died leving her estate to Mary Jane Cooper, spinster. This cannot be the same person (as married name Cooper).

Selina Cooper, dau of Mary and Frederick, baptised in Manchester.
In 1871, Selina Cooper, 18, sister-in-law, was a piecer at the cotton mill, Manchester New Cross. Her sister was Sarah Cooper married to John Hunt (both 23). This may be the same person! There isnt a Manchester birth record. That Selina (aged 23) may have married Andreas Pendergast in 1874 at Manchester.
Selina and Samuel were married in a civil ceremony in March 1877 in Bolton.2
