Luke was illegitimate, son of Mary Booth, spinster of Tong. He was probably the nephew of Luke Booth born 1804, a painter from Tong.
18 June 1856, Luke Booth, Widower, son of Luke married Mary Pollitt, widow, daughter of Joseph Baron, a shoe maker at Boilton St Peter.
In 1881, Luke Booth (62) born Lancashire and Pheobe Ann Booth (58) and son Milton Booth (28) were at Sheridan, Yamhill, Oregon, USA. This may be another person - TBC
