Rachil''s father was Moisei Sakovsky and her mother was Esther Korakh (Sakovskaya).  Her maternal grandparents were Leib Korakh and Feiga-Malka Korakh.  She was the second of four children.  She had a brother and two sisters, named Benjamin, Leah and Ida.
