Iri ben's father is בלע. His paternal grandfather is בנימין. He is an only child.

Shuppim (serpents ). In the genealogy of Benjamin "Shuppim and Huppim, the chil dren of Ir," are reckoned in (1 Chronicles 7:12) It is the same as Iri t he sonof Bela the son of Benjamin, so that Shuppim was the great-grandso n of Benjamin.
