Aristobulus ben's father is Aristobulus ben Herod and his mother is Berenice bint Costobarus. His paternal grandparents are Herod ben Antipater and Mariamne bint Ptolemy; his maternal grandparents are Costobarus and Salome bint Antipater. He is the oldest of five children. He has two brothers and two sisters, named Herod Agrippa, Herod Pollio, Herodias ben and Mariamne bint.
