מתושלח was born in 0687.  מתושלח's father was חנוך and his mother was Edni bint Danel.  His paternal grandparents were ירד and Baraka bint Rashujal; his maternal grandfather was Danel ben Maleleel.  He was the oldest of five children.  He had four brothers named Baraki'il ben, Elimelech ben, Melca ben and Naamah ben.  He died, at the age of 969, in 1656.
