Ansbertus I's father is Sigimaerus I Clodius and his mother is Daughter of Ferreolus.  His paternal grandparents are Clodius le Pharamond and Basina Weldelphus; his maternal grandparents are  Ferreolos of Rome and  Papinilla daughter Flavius.  He is an only child.
