  • (4) A brother or kinsman of Nehemiah who carried news of the      condition  of the Jews in Palestine to Susa and became one of the      governors of Jeru salem (Nehemiah1:2; 7:2). Probably a brother of  Nehemiah (Nehemiah 1:2; 7:2), who reported to    him the melancholy  condition of Jerusalem. Nehemiah afterwards     appointed hi m to  have charge of the city gates.
