Amestris bint's father is Darius II Artaxerxes I and her mother is Parysatis daughter Artaxerxes I.  Her paternal grandparents are Artaxerxes I Xerxes I and Concubine of Artaxerxes I; her maternal grandparents are  Artaxerxes I Xerxes I and  Andia daughter Nebuchadnezzar.  She is the oldest of eight children.  She has six brothers and a sister, named Arostes ben, Artaxerxes II, Cyrus of, Ostanes ben, Oxanthres ben, Sibling of and Oxathres daughter.
