Atossa daughter's father is Cyrus II Cambyses I and her mother is Neithyti daughter Apries. Her paternal grandparents are Cambyses I Cyrus I and Mandane bint Astyages; her maternal grandfather is Apries of Psamtik. She is an only child.

- He was the son of Darius I and Atossa, daughter of Cyrus the Great. Atossa (Old Persian Hutaos???) was the daughter of the Persian king Cyr us the Great (559-530 BCE) and the first wife of king Darius (522-486). Cyrus was succeeded by his son Cambyses (530-522).
