This is the wife of Ballard S. Wyatt....in Illinois...Olney Times..Jan. 7, 1915
Avalina Compton was born Aug., 8, 1835 in Wabash county, Illinois and early in life united with the Christian Church at Coffee Creek Wabash county. In the year 1856 she was united by letter with the church at this place.
She was married in the year 1856 to Ballard S. Wyatt and to this union was born five children, three boys and two girls; W.A. Wyatt of Texas, Robert C. Wyatt, of Montana, and A.J. Wyatt of Montana; Luticia, now the wife of Wm. Reever, of Springerton, Illinois and Oriella, wife of I.N. Hayes, of Bennington. Mother Wyatt was bereft of her devoted husband in the year of 1880, has resided at the old home ever since a good part of the time alone.
She passed away Dec. 31, 1914. At the age of seventy-nine years, four months and twenty-three days at the home of her daughter, in Bennington, leaving to mourn, her five children, several grandchildren and all who new her.
Mother Wyatt wa surely a Christian, always sweet spirited, and wonderfully concerned in the well being of others. Certainly our loss is her gain.
Funeral conducted by D.M. Durham, pastor of West Salem Christian church at Marion and internment at the Marion Cemetery.
