Jewetts of America - Mumford Hayes

A Record of Edward Jewett, of Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, and of his two emigrant sons, Deacon Maximilian and Joseph Jewett, Settlers of Rowley, Massachusetts, in 1639 also of Abraham and John Jewett, Early Settlers of Rowley, and of the Jewetts who have settled in the United States since the year 1800.
3402 MUMFORD HAYES (Lucretia1669, Joseph780, Nathan2xx, Joseph109, Joseph22, Joseph 4, Edward1), was born in Marcellus, N. Y., Oct. 3, 1801. He married April 10, 1828, Abigail Wilcox, daughter of Dr. Ralph and Arminta (Sprague) Wilcox. She was born March 11, 1803, and died Oct. 16, 1850. He married (2d) Oct. 7, 1851, Sarah Knowlton, who was born Sept. 14, 1815, and died Oct. 30, 1867. His third wife, whom he married July 30, 1868, was Mrs. Alice (Belden) Holleston. She died in 1898. Mr. Hayes was an inventor and a noted manufacturer of carriages. He died in East Bloomfield, N. Y.
