George A. Hurst 
George was born on August 18th, 1847 in North Royalton, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He died at the age of 70 on May 14th, 1918 in Dorset Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio.General Notes
George enlisted in Company F, Second Ohio Cavalry on 4 Mar 1864 at age 16. He
was discharged at Columbus, OH 11 Oct 1865. He took part in the battles of
the Wilderness, Spottsylvania, Petersburg, Winchester, the raids around
Richmond and in the Shenandoah Valley.
Went to school in Berea, OH, Spencerian College in Geneva and Eclectic College
in Cincinnati in 1876.
