Serilda was born in 1853.  Serilda's father was Edward Rose and her mother was Serelda Bicknell.  Her maternal grandparents were Linsfield Bicknell and Mary Paulina Asbell.  She was the eleventh of fifteen children.  She had six brothers and eight sisters, named Perry, John A., William Taylor, Hayden, Edward, Owen W., Louisa, Mahalia, Delina, Cassie Ann, Morning, Lucy Frances, Malissa Fair and Emma.  She died at the age of 29 in 1882.
