Elizabeth was born in 1856.  Elizabeth's father was James Hunt and her mother was Louisa Asbill.  Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Asbell and Mary Paulina or Polly Harp.  She was the second of seven children.  She had three brothers and three sisters, named Dudley, Levi, William, Charlotte M., Lucy A. and Surrilda.
