Hendrina was born about 1789 in Hengelo.  Hendrina's father was Garrit de Gier and her mother was Berentjen Antink.  Her paternal grandparents were Hendrik AWillem de Gier and Vrouw / Moeder; her maternal grandparents were Hendrik Antink and Vrouw / Moeder. She had a brother and two sisters, named Albert, Harmiena and Hendrica (Hendrika).  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died on April 16th, 1867 in Hengelo.1
