Dante and Colleen were engaged to be married but then separated.

Family Notes
- While traveling with his father on a business trip to Ireland, Dante meets and falls in love with Colleen Brady. The two are nearly inseparable and but they are forced to say their goodbyes when Dante must go back to Italy with his father. Dante makes Colleen promise to wait for him and he vows to return for her; they even become engaged before he leaves. However, by the time Dante returns to Ireland, he is shocked to discover that Colleen is pregnant and claims he is the father. Dante immediately informs her that the man she conceived the child with was actually his twin brother, Massimo whom Dante hadn't seen since they were children. Meanwhile, Colleen's very religious family convinces her to give the child up for adoption; though Dante is willing to raise the child with her, Colleen goes through with the difficult decision. Days before their wedding, Colleen commits suicide leaving Dante heart broken; he blames her family and vows revenge.
