    From the Wade Genealogy: Benjamin Wade, Jr., also obtained lands around
    Elizabeth. In the City Surveyor of Elizabeth's possession is also a book
    entitled Town Book of Elizabethtown Purchase and the Names of the
    Proprietors of Lots under said purchase. It contains the distribution of
    the lands which now forms the site of the town of New Providence, Union
    County, and parts of adjoining counties. At page 47, it refers to
    Benjamin Wade as owner of Lot 45 of 100 acres, laid out January 20, 1737,
    and at page 51, of lot 67 of 100 acres laid out January 20, 1737/8, these
    lands being in the Passaic Valley.
