    The following notes were appended to an unsigned handwritten list of
    Nathaniel Miller, Jr.'s children in the possession of Elizabeth Patricia
    O'Brien Weisiger: "Our great grandfather's house (still quoting J.A.
    Taylor) was burned to the ground at the time of the battle of Springfield
    1780. Rebuilt on same spot, date unknown"
    
    "Florence Tryon is the great granddaughter of Isaac Smith Miller of
    Washington and his wife--Wooley--The granddaughter of their daughter
    Eliza Miller who married Mr. Clarke--father and mother of Will Clarke."
