    Consistent with the genealogy reported in Weis' Ancestral Roots, Hugh Magnus is shown here as the son of Henry I and Anne of Kiev.  Brian Tompsett in his University of Hull recounting has Hugh as the son of Henry I and Matilda (whose parents are ).
