Garnet Stanley Down 
Garnet Stanley was born in 1883. Garnet Stanley's father was Thomas James Boon Down and his mother was Janet Jessie Bowden. His maternal grandparents were William Henry Bowden and Caithrine Clarke. He had three brothers and a sister, named Percy Thomas, Jack William, Eric Bowden and Janet Priscilla. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 87 in 1970.-
