Unknown was born in 1806 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Unknown's father was Mathew Bowden and his mother was Maria Stanfield. His paternal grandparents were John Bowden and Elisabeth Bee; his maternal grandparents were Richard Stanfield and Ann Crisby. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, William Henry and Ann Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother named Thomas Sargeant. He died at the age of 23 on April 15th, 1829.-
