Samuel Ritenour Sr. & Caroline Wetmore (Ritenour)

Samuel and Caroline were married in a religious & civil ceremony in 1833 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, USA.¹   They had eight sons and six daughters, named George, William, Benjamin, Daniel, David, Samuel, Elias, Elijah, Mary, Catherine, Elizabeth, Harriet, Margaret and Ellen.

    Widow: Caroline.
    Ten Children: 1. George; 2. William; 3. Benjamin; 4. David; 5. Samuel; 6.
    Mary married George Shumar; 7. Catherine married Moon (Deceased by 1863); 8.
    Elizabeth married Joseph Wilgus; 9. Harriet married William Wilgus
    (deceased); 10. Margaret married George Ridenour.

    At this time (Nov., 1999) information on this family is very incomplete. Note
    that the list of children by Kimberly does not exactly match that of the
    Orphan's Court Docket. The Docket has no Elias, Ellen or Elijah. Kimberly's
    list has no Elizabeth, Mary or Catherine.
