page 2 - To the Honorable Alexander Contee Manfon Chancellor of Maryland, Humbly complaining shew unto your Honor your orators & oratriocs Michael Bash, George Miller & Catherine his wife, Peter Funk & Barbara his wife, Henry Bash & Philip Bash That a certain Andrew Bash was in his lifetime indebted unto your orator Michael Bash in the sum of one hundred and nine pounds, sixteen shillings, & four pence for so much money paid at the instance, request & for the use of him the said Andrew & your orator herewith exhibits the account thereof No1 & prays that the same may be taken as part of this bill of complaint. That the said Andrew Bash has died intestate having the following his heirs at law your orators. Michael, Catherine, Barbara, Henry & Philip all of age and Christina wife of Peter Grimm, Peggy wife of Adam Ridenour, Mary, Magdalina, John, & Jacob Bash infants. ( In Maryland, people under 21 were called infants) That your orator Michael is the administrator of the desceased, & that the said intestate left real estate and among other real estate a piece of land called "Bookers Resurvey" containing seventy two and a half acres, and that his personal estate is exhausted and not sufficient to pay his debts.

To the end therefore that the defendants may answer the premises and that the real estate of the said Andrew Bash may be sold for the payment of the debts of the said interstate & that your orators may have such other relief in the premises as is proper may it please your Honor to grant to your orators & oratriocs a writ of subpena in the usual form commanding the said Peter Grimm & Christina his wife, Adam Ridenour & Peggy his wife, Mary, Magdaline, John, and Jacob Bash to appear in this court & there answer the premises and abide by such order therein as may be proper. And also that it does not appear from any book or writing of Andrew Bash his Intestate that any part of the said claim hath been discharged and that no security or satisfaction hath been given for the same. page 7 - Washington County, February 12, 1811 Sir Eight or nine years ago I filled a bill in Chauncery to enable me to sell and wake a right to my fathers land lying in Washington County and since the estate has been settled to the satisfaction of all the heirs, there are every year bills of --- (sp) causing (sp) out against the estate owing I suppose to the ----- (sp) of W. Shaaffs not taking it out of court agreeable to my instructions. I hope sir you will be pleased to order it to be done and it shall be for ever acknowledged by your ---(sp) humble servant Michael Bash
