Joseph was born on July 25th, 1909.  Joseph's father was Arthur Powney and his mother was Florence.  He was the youngest of six children.  He had four brothers and a sister, named Harry, Randolph, Percy, Howard and Florence.  He died at the age of 75 in January 1985.
