George was born on September 11th, 1928.  George's father was Richard Hollahan and his mother was Florence Powney.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Hollahan and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Arthur Powney and Florence.  He was the second of five children.  He had a brother and three sisters, named Jack, Ruth, Eva and Floss.  He died at the age of 68 on April 13th, 1997.
