General Notes

According to Joyce Ablett (1999) Ann Pullen was first married to Henry James Edkins when she was 21.
Mary Jane Susan Edkins/Perring was registered with both names. It appears that Edkins must have deserted family at some time & Ann then married Richard Perring when she she was 35. Joyce sais they haven't been able to find any details of the marriage.
Her father was a gardener.
According to Nana Bonney, Ann Pullen came out with Sir George Henty to SA as a nurse girl. Managed the first whaling station by herself.
