John Perring 
John was born in 1815 in Malborough. John's father was George Perring and his mother was Maria Collings. His paternal grandparents were George Perring and Mary James. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James, George, Thomas, James, Mary, Elizabeth, Eliza, Mary and Eliza. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 47 in February 1862 in Salcombe. He was buried on March 21st, 1862 in Salcombe Holy Trinity.
