Thomas was born in 1770.  Thomas' father was David Bolton.  His paternal grandfather was William Bolton and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth. He had six brothers named Mathew, George, David, Abram, Samuel and Alexander.  He died at the age of 53 in 1823.
