        Virginia Lee Judy Morgan, 86, of Lake Charles died at 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, in a local hospital.
        Mrs. Morgan was born on May 25, 1922, and was raised in St. Louis, Mo,. before moving to Lake Charles in 1945 after marrying Earnest D. Morgan Jr. She was a longtime member and past president of (TOPS) Take Off Pounds Sensibly. Mrs. Morgan was also a longtime member of AARP.
        Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband and best friend of 65 years, Earnest “Hawkeye” D. Morgan Jr. of Lake Charles; four daughters, Judy Moss Buerger and husband Frank of Spring, Texas, Bambi Hebert of Lake Charles, Susan Meyer of Lacassine, and Rose Morgan of DeRidder; four sons, Richard D. Morgan and wife Sandy of Westlake, Patrick Morgan and wife Kathie of Iowa, Timothy Morgan of Ceres, Calif., and David “Tiny” Morgan of Iowa; one brother, John Judy of Neosha, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her longtime friend, Eva Jane Newell of Lake Charles.
        Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, June 27, in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Her grandsons-inlaw, the Rev. Christian Nichols and the Rev. Kevin Merriman, will officiate. Following the service, the body will be cremated. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. today until time of services.
