Thomas Montagu, 4th Earl of Salisbury was born before 13 June 1388.
He was the son of John de Montagu, 3rd Earl of Salisbury and Maud Francis.
He married, firstly, Eleanor de Holand, daughter of Thomas de Holand, 2nd Earl of Kent and Alice FitzAlan, on 13 May 1399.
He married, secondly, Alice Chaucer, daughter of Thomas Chaucer and Maud Burghersh, before November 1424.
He died on 3 November 1428 in Tourelles, France, from wounds received in action, without male issue
Thomas Montagu, 4th Earl of Salisbury gained the title of 4th Earl of Salisbury.
He fought in the Siege of Orleans in October 1428.
