‌Shadrack and Ellen McClara were married in a religious ceremony on November 16th, 1802 in Coswell County, North Carolina.  They had six sons and three daughters, named William, Jacob Alexander, Plesant, Charles Goodall, George Killingsworth, Shadrack Blevins, Tinsel, Susannah and Elender.
